Libraries are continually changing to meet the needs of users. This includes implementing discovery tools, also referred to as web-scale discovery tools or services, to make it easier to search through their physical, digital and electronic collections.

Vendors and suppliers are continuously improving their functionalities offering new services and improved technologies. Hundreds of publications and communications on implementation, comparison, user experience, information literacy, librarian perception, collection usage, etc. related to discovery tools have already been produced. This bibliography aims to give a selected overview of what (mostly) librarians have written or said about discovery tools.

Comments and additions are most welcome and can be sent to the editor of this bibliography.
